This November, Somerset Charity SOS Africa is turning up the heat and laying down the ultimate fundraising challenge… a Sponsored Fire Walk Fundraising Event at Frome College.
Taking place on Saturday 12th November between 6pm and 9pm, we are challenging 50 brave fundraisers to fire walk and raise £100 each to enable us to build a new classroom for after-school care and remedial support in Somerset West, South Africa in 2017.
Practised for thousands of years, firewalking is seen as both the definitive mental test and the most inspirational journey you will ever take. It involves walking barefoot along 20 feet of red-hot wood embers measuring temperatures of around 800 degrees.

(Fire Juggler, Hog Roast, Frome FM and Firewalk Lighting will entertain spectators)

Parking
If you are driving to the Firewalk please enter Frome College at the Bath Road entrance.
Spectators
Spectators are encouraged to support our Firewalkers. There will be additional entertainment including music from Frome FM, Fire Juggling, a raffle and a delicious Hog Roast.
Deposits / Offline Sponsorship
Please bring along £15 deposits (if not already paid) and offline sponsorship with forms to drop off at the SOS Africa Tent. In the meantime, feel free to email info@sosafrica.com with your offline sponsorship totals and we will update your JustGiving pages.
Fundraising Competition
Don’t forget that SOS Africa is organising a special competition, whereby all Firewalkers who hit their £100 fundraising target and for every £50 raised thereafter, will receive entries into a draw to win two flight tickets to South Africa to meet the SOS Africa children.
