Last week, we had the privilege of taking the next generation of SOS Africa children on a special tour of Grabouw High School to give them a taste of the next chapter in their lives, which they will all begin together in January 2021.

It was a memorable day during which they explored the school and our education centre, met their new teachers and aftercare staff, took part in fun activities and even met the older SOS Africa children.

What started as a nervous group tiptoeing around the hallways soon turned into an excited bunch of children exploring a new world of adventure and opportunities. When asked about the highlight of their visit, they unanimously agreed that it was the personalised chocolate cupcakes which our staff baked as a special treat.

By the time the children returned home, they had already formed close bonds amongst themselves and with our staff. We cannot wait to welcome them back permanently from January.
